From Needlewoman and Needlecraft April 1954 a pattern for a crochet lace dickey to go under a jacket. It was simply a 'shirtfront' secured with a ribbon tie at the back. There is a left and right front and a ruffle, but no sleeves and no back, so although it's crocheted in No. 20 crochet cotton it could represent quite a quick project for the experienced crocheter.
My cottage in Wiltshire, England really is made of chalk and here I live with my chap and a cat called Marilyn. I love history, vintage and retro design, knitting and wildlife. I'm working to improve my photography and my knitting and I'm always learning.
I will be so happy if you enjoy my words and pictures and patterns and if they inspire you to try new ideas, but please do not copy my original work, or take image content from this site without my explicit permission.
