Slip stitch slipover from Stitchcraft August 1951 |
I've been badly neglecting my slip stitch collection and was reminded when browsing through my vintage magazines. This caught my eye. Quite an impressive effect.

I must have a try at swatching this one.

i have tried to be a good knitter and do the swatch thing. I have challenged myself with sweaters, socks, cables, and lace, but I just can't seem to get the swatch thing down. I know it seems like such a simple concept, but I can never make my swatch come out to the right number of stitches. I think that frustrates me more than having the garment not come out exactly the way it should have.
I love what you do with swatches. They are each like little pieces of artwork.
